Phase One – Workshop – Converting an existing lean-to open Car Port into an Enclosed Workshop
We were tasked to convert an existing lean-to open car port into an enclosed car workshop. Our first task was to break out the existing Tarmac floor and cast reinforced concrete out over 3 phases to help aid a live vehicle and MOT trading garage.
We installed two new large insulated panoramic roller shutter doors to each end of the workshop to allow cars in and out with ease. High level partitioning was installed and all existing walls and ceilings were lined to provide insulation and plaster finish.
The electrical work carried out was to suit a new lighting and power design including a design for a new vehicle lift installation. Also, an installation of New Ambi Rad Heating System was completed within the project.
Full decoration and all floor areas have been finished with an Epoxy Resin painted floor system to suit the Corporate Identity of the business.
Phase Two –Showroom Extension
Phase 2 saw us convert the existing workshop into a new KIA showroom. We removed 2 roller shutter doors and provided an installation of a new Aluminium Curtain Walling system and vehicle access doors to suit the Corporate identity.
We installed partitioning and lined all existing walls to provide insulation and plaster finish.
A knock through was completed to form a new large opening to the showroom creating an open plan image with appropriate steel support works installed to Structural Engineers design.
New electric works were carried out to suit specified lighting plan including additional power to illuminate exterior facade signage. A new heating and cooling system was installed within the suspended ceiling grid.
Full decoration has taken place to suit KIA Brand Corporate specification, along with a new ceramic tiled floor to the showroom and all other areas. The staircase was finished with Glass Balustrade and Beech Timber Handrails.
To complete the project a full overhaul of the Male, disabled and female WC were completed, where we supplied and fitted all new white goods and ceramic tiles to floors and walls. A new kitchen and breakfast bar were also installed in the staff room.
